COVID 19 Pandemic Work

 

Due to the corona pandemic has exponentially multiplied the challenges related to healthcare., from March 2020 we started identifying needy people from the vasties and started providing ration to these needy people. The ration we distributed to around 1000 needy families. Essential services like sanitary napkins, umbrella distribution was also started. Around 3500 sanitary napkins & 250 umbrellas were distributed.

 

In the next phase, our doctors went to vasties for corona related check-ups. At almost 50 vasties in the areas of Kothrud, Karvenagar and Varje, corona check-up camps were conducted. 9950 individuals were checked, and 250 suspects were referred to PMC for further actions. But the eruption continued to increase, and we started feeling that only these efforts of the institute would not be sufficient. The pandemic can be contained by educating people and taking their participation in the efforts.

 

This was evident from the experience from Lokamanya Vasahat! When 2 to 4 corona infected patients were identified in this vasahat and one expired. Ms Bhagyashree started getting frantic calls requesting to start activities for containing the pandemic and promising the cooperation and participation from the vasahat. The camp had to be conducted for 2 days and 1000 individuals were checked. This month also there was the same demand and we arranged the camps again.

 

Seva Arogya has initiated Corona Screening Camps in 25 Vasti and had checked almost 9000 people in nearby locality. Issued medication for needy patients if necessary.

 

Mylabs newly developed 300 Corona virus test kits and two freezers supplied to Sasoon Hospital worth Rs. 8.40 Lacs.
