The parents in vasties are engrossed in their own employment and problems faced due to lack of education so they hardly have any time to spare for their children. Due to this the possibility of these children getting on to unwarranted paths like addictions, crime etc are pretty high. These classes have been started for providing proper guidance to these youth. The activities like prayers, sports, singing, storytelling, celebrating festivals, stories of the great men, drawing / painting etc are conducted. Special activities of yearly camps, sports and singing competitions etc are also conducted. A trained lady works as a teacher for these activities. This program is conducted with the support from Swanand Jankalyan Pratisthan.
The word translates to “prosperity through the classroom”. Daily Activity of “Bal Samrudhi Varg” includes:
- Prayers
- Moral Stories
- Sports/Games
- Exercise
- Patriotic Songs
- Pasaydan
The program helps gather the children of the slum areas for creative activities like drawing, singing, storytelling, etc. Children also participate in social events like the Palkhi procession in the city, Environment day, etc. During festival periods, children are encouraged to make their own sky lamps, come up with exhibitions and publications.
